UCT Shuttle stop in Claremont now on Newry Street
-Due to the construction of the new Claremont bus terminal, the UCT Shuttle stop in Claremont (normally located on Central Road) will be relocated. The new stop is one block away from the current location. Commuters can walk along Main Road and then up Newry Steet to reach the new UCT Shuttle stop.
Effective date: Monday, 29 September 2025
New location: Newry Street (clearly marked with signage)
Support: UCT Shuttle staff will be on site to direct students during the transition
Timetable: UCT Shuttle will continue to operate as scheduled
Duration: the relocation will remain in place for the expected 23-month construction period.
Additional updates will be posted on the UCT website, and shared via the UCT Mobile app and the UCT Shuttle app.
